J-League Gameweek 6 - Preview

Another successfully entertaining gameweek saw Kashima Antlers take the first-spot mantle after an impressive run of form is capped off by a Leo hattrick.


This proved to be yet another table shuffle as Kashiwa Reysol, Shonan Bellmare and Sanfrecce Hiroshima eye the first spot sitting just behind the leaders.


Gameweek six, on the Saturday 15th of March is kickstarted by four games simultaneously at 5am GMT...


FC Tokyo travel downland to face Avispa Fukuoka at the Best Denki Stadium - Avispa are currently on a two game win-streak, have not conceded in two games, and may look for another smash and grab performance.


Albirex Niigata head city-bound to face in-form Machida Zelvia in Tokyo - with Niigata winless, they will need a lifeline here.


The Ajinomoto Stadium hosts Tokyo Verdy and Nagoya Grampus, both teams search for three points, with Verdy winless in their last two, but Nagoya yet to pick up a victory.


Yokohama play host to Cerezo Osaka who have drawn both of their last matches. The two teams are currently in limbo in the zone above the relegation, and will need wins to ensure early safety.


Sunday,16th of March we will see Shimizu S-Pulse hoping to reignite their title charge with a game against Kyoto Sanga.


Fagiano Okayama welcome Kawasaki Frontale to the Harenokuni Stadium - both sides winless in their last two games.


The league leaders Kashima entertain Saitama boys Urawa Red Diamonds in a must-win match to maintain their momentum.


A crunch match will be played further down Japan as Kashiwa Reysol make the long trip to Sanfrecce Hiroshima - both teams need the three points, but it's Hiroshima who are unbeaten in their last five.


The Nissan Stadium will host Yokohama Marinos' match against in-form Gamba Osaka.


While Shonan Bellmare welcomes the struggling Vissel Kobe to the Enoshima waterfront, in plans to further worsen their woes, and pick up a valuable three points.
