Gameweek three saw two derbies, a title twisting situation, and further disappointment for the current champions Vissel Kobe.
The table took a total revision as Shonan Bellmare completed a perfect start to the season, picking up wins over Kashima, Cerezo and Urawa.
The title race is beginning to take shape with the likes of Shimizu S-Pulse, Kawasaki Frontale, Kashiwa Reysol and Sanfrecce Hiroshima flirting with the top spot.
The first day of March sees Yokohama F. Marinos taking on current league leaders Shonan Bellmare in a bid to throw a wrench into their works.
Kashima Antlers welcome FC Tokyo in a game that's bound to give the table a shuffle - with both sides eager for a win.
Kawasaki Frontale will take on Kyoto Sanga who are in poor form, with a projected win for the hosts almost certain.
Vissel Kobe need to win in order to prove a point, having been winless in their last four matches. The visitors, Avispa Fukuoka, will be just as desperate for their first points of the season as they sit rock bottom of the league.
Sunday 2nd of March will also see several teams playing in gameweek four.
Albirex Niigata are still winless, set to face Cerezo Osaka who have not picked up points since their demolition of Gamba on opening day.
Fagiano Okayama have a tough test in the form of Shimizu S-Pulse, who are still in their groove despite missing out on two points last game.
Nagoya Grampus entertain Machida Zelvia who travel outside of Tokyo for once, after two derbies on the bounce.
Tokyo Verdy are jubilant after a derby day win, and are eager to add more to the table against Gamba Osaka.
Sanfrecce Hiroshima need a resurgence against Yokohama FC in order to burst back in front, and will hope to see Shimizu and Bellmare drop points.
Urawa Red Diamonds clash with fourth-placed Kashiwa Reysol in what will be a very tough game for the hosts.
