For the engine room of a resurgent Gamba Osaka there is one player responsible. After having watched him a total of three times, I am convinced he is not a textbook CDM. Neta Lavi earns his spot as the J-Football Journals Player of the Week!

Rated at 1.9 million euros, the midfielder dons bags of experience having played in the European Champions League, UEFA Nations League, amongst a plethora of international experience.

His Gameweek Five peformance against formidables Shimizu S-Pulse is not to ne overlooked. The dynamic midfielder adapts to the situation very well and attacks in his channel very aggressively.

Off the ball, he plans his next move accordingly all while helping Gamba regain possession.

As a CDM, 0.24 goals per 90 is a very good return. With this stat magnified, it's worth noticing that Lavi is a player who likes to move forward with attacks, but has the fitness to recover to his position even after a duel is lost.

His dribble success is at a high 75%, he is eager to get touches on the ball and drives it forward from his own half effectively - in a position where it is particularly hard to do so.

3.64 tackles won per 90 proves that he is not only effective going forward but also in his own half in his respective channel.

6.55 recoveries per 90 advertise Lavi as a player who does not give up, working hard to ensure the control of the midfield.
