Kashiwa Reysol's Yoshio Koizumi notched two assists in the 2-0 win over his old side Urawa Red Diamonds.
The midfielder has been one of the top players in the J-League so far this season with an average rating of 8.01, having one goal and two assists in four starts. He often plays in the middle, however he has made appearances on the right-wing this season.
Koizumi's market value currently sits at 550k euro at the age of 28.
His career has it roots in FC Tokyo where he played at the U15 level in 2015 before turning out for the Maebashi Ikuei High School. He played at university level with the Aoyama Gakuin Uni before signing at a senior level with FC Ryukyu in 2019.
His time at Urawa Red Diamonds began in 2021 when he made the step up to one of the more prominent clubs in the J-League. He made 153 appearances and scored 12 goals in Red colours.
Koizumi sealed a 550k euro transfer to Kashiwa Reysol in winter 2025. Kashiwa face Kashima Antlers this weekend in a tough fixture.
