Ryoya Morishita has been a standout figure at the Polish Army Sradium - an unorthodox occurence of a Japanese footballer turning out in the Ekstraklasa- the only other currently being Yosuke Furukawa of Gornik Zabrze.
The Japanese Samurai of Legia Warszawa is mainly viewed as an attacking minded player - able to play on both wings or even in attacking midfield.
Ryoya's time in Poland has been immensely successful, with him quickly becoming a fan favourite. In his 24 appearances in the ekstraklasa, he notched four assists and five goals - he has supplied three goals and one assist in the Conference League.
The attacker was essentially a Jubilo Iwata U18s product before moving to Meiji University for his scolarship amongst playing experience in the JUFA.
From the University, he signed a deal with Sagan Tosu back when they were in the J1. A transfer to Nagoya Grampus followed a year later, before being loaned out to Warszawa, who eventually paid a fee of 500k euro to bring him to the Polish capital.
Morishita's Legia Warszawa are now on-course to face Chelsea in a bid to earn their right to advance to the semi-finals.
