There is news that the J-League higher-ups will be looking at making the J3 license more attainable for new managers following a formal meeting in Tokyo - particularly those more ambitious than to stay in the Japanese Football Lower Leagues.

At the moment the license is extremely tough to attain especially for younger managers who may bring fresh ideas and excitement to the league.

"We examined the data on the average age of the five major league managers and the cycle of new managers coming out every year, but I think that there are environments where J-League managers are older and new managers can not challenge. Junya Higuchi said to Gekisaka.jp.

"Pro Licenses" are currently required to manage teams in the J1, 2, and 3 leagues - but this may be subject to change in the coming seasons.
