After a quality season of performance for the Hoops, a projected league title, thirteen goals, seven assists in 27 appearances, Daizen Maede seems to look like one of the first names on Rodgers' list to tie down for the long term.
"While I am here, I always want to fight and play for Celtic. I want to keep focusing and playing for the team." Daizen Maeda's words via Daily Record.
The 27-year-old winger Daizen Maeda is a mainstay in the Celtic team and even a frequent appearance for the Japanese National Team with his blistering pace and agility offering danger going forward.
Hajime Moriyasu, the Japanese National Side's manager has also praised his form, meaning he will be on-course to represent Japan at the World Cup next year.
"Fast vertical attacks will become a necessity, and chasing from the front is something we will have to work on as the level of our opponents increases." - Moriyasu's words on Maeda via Soccer King.
While Maeda's current contract runs until 2027, Celtic have already got a big contract tying him in place but will set to reward him with a better wage and extend the agreement by several more years.
Celtic fans will be eager to see the Japanese hitman stay on their books for next season, as Kyogo Furuhashi could see a possible move back to Scotland.
